Google Ads Suspension Help

We get suspended Google Ads accounts reinstated by identifying which policy actually triggered the suspension, fixing that cause, and filing one properly documented appeal. You have at least six months to appeal, but every day suspended is spend your competitors are getting instead. Call (216) 294-2723. If it is your listing rather than your ads, profile reinstatement is a separate process.

The notice tells you almost nothing

A Google Ads suspension arrives as a policy name and very little else. "Misrepresentation" is the one most advertisers get, and it can mean a dozen different things. Nothing in the notice tells you which.

So people appeal immediately, explaining that they run a real business and have done nothing wrong. That appeal fails, because it does not address whatever the system actually flagged. Then they appeal again, and Google's documented behavior is to deprioritize repeat appeals for the same suspension.

Almost always the fix is on the landing page rather than in the ads: missing business information, contact details that cannot be found, terms that are not clear before someone commits, or claims the site cannot back up. Fix that first, then appeal once.

Why accounts get suspended

The policy named in your notice decides the whole approach.

  1. Misrepresentation

The catch-all, and the one that arrives with the least explanation. Usually traced to the landing page rather than the ads.

  2. Suspicious payments

A new card, a billing country that does not match the account, or a chargeback in the history. Common on newer accounts.

  3. Circumventing systems

The most serious. Triggered by anything that looks like evading a previous enforcement, including running a new account after a suspension.

  4. Unapproved substances or restricted goods

Restricted categories that need certification before they can advertise at all.

  5. Destination mismatch

The landing page does not deliver what the ad promised, is broken, or redirects somewhere unexpected.

  6. Business operations verification

Advertiser identity verification that was not completed in time. Often fixable without a full appeal.

How it works

How we handle the appeal

  1. 1

    Read the actual notice

The policy named in the suspension decides everything that follows. Appealing the wrong policy is the most common reason a first attempt fails.

  2. 2

    Fix the underlying cause

Usually landing page changes: business information, contact details, clear terms, and claims the site can support. Appealing before fixing wastes the attempt.

  3. 3

    Submit one documented appeal

A single appeal explaining what was wrong, what changed, and where to verify it. Not four.

  4. 4

    Restart deliberately

Reinstated accounts get watched. We bring spend back up gradually and keep the account clear of anything resembling the original trigger.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How long do I have to appeal a Google Ads suspension?
Google gives advertisers at least six months from the suspension date to submit an appeal. That is longer than most people assume, but waiting is still costly, because the account is not spending and the competition is.
What does a misrepresentation suspension actually mean?
It is the broadest and most common category, and the notice rarely explains which part triggered it. In practice it covers missing or unclear business information on the landing page, claims the site cannot support, a checkout or lead flow that hides terms, and a mismatch between who the ads say you are and what the site shows. The fix is almost always on the site, not in the ad copy.
How many times can I appeal?
Submit one and wait. Filing repeatedly for the same suspension gets appeals deprioritized or ignored, and Google says so directly. A single well-documented appeal beats four rushed ones by a wide margin.
Can a suspended Google Ads account be permanently lost?
Yes. Suspensions for circumventing systems, and repeat violations after reinstatement, can end in permanent closure with no route back. That is the case for getting the first appeal right rather than treating it as a first draft.
What does a Google Ads suspension appeal cost?
$499, and it is due when the account is reinstated rather than upfront. If the appeal does not get the account back, there is nothing to pay.
Is this the same as a Google Business Profile suspension?
No. Different product, different policies, different appeal process, handled by different teams. It is possible to have one suspended and the other running normally. Profile suspensions are handled here.
