Website Development

We build fast, static websites for local service businesses across the United States: mobile first, phone number always in reach, and the SEO groundwork done during the build rather than retrofitted. Existing URLs are mapped before anything is written, so a rebuild does not cost you the rankings you already have. Call (216) 294-2723 or see how this pairs with local SEO.

A local business owner reviewing their new website on a laptop

Attractive is not the same as effective

Plenty of local businesses have a site they are happy with that produces almost nothing. It looks current, the photos are good, and visitors leave without calling. That is not a design failure, it is a friction failure, and the two get confused constantly.

The pattern is consistent: a hero image that takes four seconds to load on a phone, a headline that says something aspirational instead of what the business does, a phone number only in the footer, and a contact form with nine fields. Every one of those is a reason to leave, and none of them are visible to the owner looking at it on a desktop.

We build for the person on a phone, on mobile data, who needs to know in one screen whether you fix their problem in their town, and wants to press a button and talk to somebody.

What we build for

Six things that decide whether a local site produces calls.

  1. Fast on a phone on bad signal

Not fast on your desk on fiber. Mobile page speed is where local sites are actually lost, and it is a ranking input as well as a conversion one.

  2. Phone number always reachable

Visible without scrolling, tappable, and present on every page. For a service business it is the primary conversion, not the fallback.

  3. Says what you do and where, immediately

A visitor should know within one screen whether you solve their problem in their area. Most local sites open with a slogan instead.

  4. Short forms

Every extra field costs completions. Name, phone, and what they need is usually enough to start a conversation.

  5. SEO built in, not bolted on

Titles, headings, schema, and internal linking done during the build. Retrofitting these is always more work than doing them once.

  6. Nothing to break

No plugin stack to keep patched and no database to be compromised. Static output means the site that launched is the site that is still running next year.

How it works

How a build runs

  1. 1

    Discovery

What the site is for, who it is talking to, and which pages actually earn their place. Most local sites carry pages nobody has visited in a year.

  2. 2

    Structure and URLs

We map every existing URL before writing any code, so nothing that ranks today disappears at launch.

  3. 3

    Build

Static build, mobile-first, with speed and accessibility checked as we go rather than audited afterward.

  4. 4

    Launch and support

Redirects verified, sitemap submitted, and ongoing support if you want changes handled rather than learning a CMS.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Why is my website not turning visitors into calls?
The recurring causes are a slow first load on mobile, no phone number visible without scrolling, no clear statement of what you do and where in the first screen, and a contact form asking for more than someone will give a stranger. Design is rarely the problem; friction usually is.
Do you build on WordPress?
Not by default. We build static sites that serve prebuilt HTML, which is why they load in under a second and have very little that can break or be exploited. WordPress makes sense when a client genuinely needs its plugin ecosystem, and we will say so when that is the case.
Will a new site hurt my existing rankings?
Only if the URLs change without redirects, which is the single most common way a redesign loses traffic. Every existing URL either keeps its address or gets a permanent redirect to its replacement, and we check that against the live sitemap before launch rather than after.
How long does a build take?
A straightforward local business site is a few weeks from content to launch. The long pole is almost always gathering copy, photos, and credentials from the client, not the build itself.
Do I need a new site if my Google Business Profile is doing the work?
Not always. If the profile produces enough work and the site is only there to look legitimate, a rebuild is a want rather than a need. It matters more when you are running ads into it or competing on local SEO, because both depend on the page performing.
