Is your Google listing suspended?
A suspension takes the profile out of Maps and out of the local results in Search. For a business that gets most of its calls that way, the phone stops the same day. There is no warning email that explains what happened and no phone number at Google to call about it.
You can appeal it yourself for free. The catch is that the process runs up to 60 days, an error adds roughly ten more, and about three out of four owners do not succeed on the first attempt. Worse, Google keeps the appeal history against the listing, so a rejected appeal makes the following one harder rather than starting fresh.
That is the part most people do not know when they submit. It is also why we spend the first stage identifying the actual trigger instead of filing immediately.
What usually triggers a suspension
In rough order of how often we see them.
-
Keywords in the business name
The single most common trigger. Google wants the name on your signage, not "Cleveland Emergency Plumber 24/7". This one is also the fastest to fix once identified.
-
A virtual office or PO box address
Coworking desks, mailbox services, and registered-agent addresses all fail Google's location requirements. Service-area businesses can operate without a public address, but the profile has to be set up that way.
-
Address shown for a service-area business
If you travel to customers and do not staff a location during business hours, the address must be hidden. Displaying it invites a suspension even if the address is genuinely yours.
-
Category mismatch
Adding categories to catch more searches works right up until Google decides the business does not actually operate in them. Ambitious category lists are a frequent cause.
-
Bulk edits on an established listing
Changing name, address, phone, and categories in the same session on an older profile reads as a hijack attempt. Spacing changes out matters more than people expect.
-
High-risk industry review
Locksmiths, garage door companies, and a few other trades get re-verified aggressively. Nothing has to be wrong for the listing to get pulled into review.
The honest comparison
Appealing it yourself, or handing it over
Both are legitimate. These are the actual trade-offs.
On your own
- Free, and you can start today
- Up to 60 days for Google to work through the appeal
- A wrong document adds roughly another ten days
- Roughly three in four owners do not succeed on the first try
- A rejection stays on the listing and hardens the next attempt
- You manage every round of correspondence
With Next Call
- $699, paid only when the listing is back
- 75% resolved in three days, 99% within ten
- We identify the trigger before anything is filed
- Documentation assembled for your specific violation type
- We handle the back and forth with Google directly
- If we do not think it is recoverable, we say so first
Locksmiths and garage door companies are priced at $749 because advanced verification adds a background check stage.
How it works
How reinstatement works
Four stages. You are involved in the first one and the last one.
- 1
Consultation
You complete the intake form and we review the listing, the suspension type, and the history on the profile. If we do not think it is recoverable, we say so before you pay anything.
- 2
Review and strategy
We work out what actually triggered it, then assemble the documentation Google needs for that specific violation. Different suspension types need different evidence, and sending the wrong set is the usual reason appeals fail.
- 3
Submission and follow-up
We file the appeal and handle the back-and-forth with Google directly, including any requests for more information. You do not have to manage the correspondence.
- 4
Back online, then paid
The listing returns with its reviews and history intact. You are invoiced $699 at that point, not before.
